Dutch artist Karina Schaapman originally built The Mouse Mansion as the setting for a children’s book, creating more than a hundred miniature rooms filled with houses, shops, streets and tiny everyday objects. Instead of illustrations, the stories are brought to life through photographs of these carefully constructed scenes.

Best friends Sam and Julia guide children through this miniature universe, where small everyday adventures become stories about friendship, community and discovery. What began as a book has since grown into an international family-run children’s brand, with storybooks, plush mice, craft kits and miniature accessories that let children continue the world of The Mouse Mansion beyond the page.
